Your First Balanced Step

Welcome to Grow Connection!

We're so glad you made it to our Teachable course - our platform for learning, connection, and play.

Tip: When we have segments that are heavier on the reading (like this one), we have also included an audio version for those of you who prefer audio. You can actually see an example of this right here and now. Notice the little triangle at the top of this segment. Go ahead and hit play to see how it works!

Balanced Steps

You'll discover that we are all about BALANCED STEPS.

We've seen so much burnout in the Autism World - among parents, professionals, caregivers, and our kids. That's why we are committed to changing the game and helping make the journey playfully sustainable.

"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." -Lao Tzu

Our Teachable course is designed with balanced steps in mind. Each class introduces a key value or principle in Natural Play Therapy. Then each class is organized into smaller sections to help gently guide you along.

When you finish a section, simply click "Complete and continue." This marks your progress so it's easy to see what you've completed. This also ensures you will get a Certificate of Completion! Make sure you watch all the videos. Audio files do not need to be played in order for your certificate to be given, as there is text along with the audio files.

What's Coming Up?

Before we jump into the first class content, we'd like to tell you a bit more about this Teachable platform, introduce your Grow Connection Guide (Julie Sando), give you a big-picture perspective on our class, and share some tips for getting the most out of this experience.

When you get to the class content, you'll discover a variety of learning resources: a bit of reading, at least one key video from our Flourish: Natural Play Therapy Connection Course for each class, a printable class summary, some bonus content, a short review quiz, a playful practice suggestion, and space to reflect and connect with group members.

There you go! Your first balanced step is complete!

Go ahead and click "Complete and continue" to move on to the next step.
