The Only Banned Game

We love to play! And we encourage games! But the one game we do not entertain is The Comparison Game.

You are likely familiar with this game. It sounds like some version of: "Look at all they are doing! How come my child and I aren't experiencing those successes? What's wrong with us? We need to keep up!"

When we play The Comparison Game, we oftentimes end up putting way more pressure on ourselves and our kids. We might start feeling more isolated from others. And this doesn't feel good or inspire growth or community.

We want to remind you that the success of someone else, does not make you any less successful. This is a community experience. The success of one, is a success for us all. And we can celebrate those successes, while honoring where we are in our own journeys.

Every path is different. All our kids have their own unique challenges. We each have our own lifestyles and preferences.

We hope you will see the beauty in the wide spectrum of experiences. Whatever your path looks like, remember that all your highs and lows have value. We can all become inspired by others, and we can all learn from the challenges.

We hope you will join us in celebrating the highs of your class members, and supporting them with compassion in the lows. That's what being part of this community is all about!

And if we catch you playing The Comparison Game, we'll totally call you out on it! In a playful way :)

We thank you in advance for helping make this a loving and accepting, community experience!
